À propos okaeri project
Hi!
I’m building Project OKAERI — a mission to transform Japan’s vacant homes into a nationwide network of unique guesthouses.
Japan has millions of vacant homes. Most will eventually disappear.
We believe they can become places where travelers experience the real Japan while helping local communities thrive again.
Our first step begins in Fudai Village, Iwate.
We’re renovating an empty traditional home into the first OKAERI guesthouse.
This isn’t just about restoring one house.
Our vision is to create 100 unique locations across Japan, connected through a membership system that lets travelers explore the country by staying in restored local homes.
Our second location is already being planned in Okutama, Tokyo.
But every big journey starts with one successful project.
Your support helps us renovate our very first home, prove this model works, and create something that can spread across Japan.
You’re not simply funding a renovation.
You’re helping build a new future for Japan’s vacant homes.
If you’d like to be part of the very beginning, we’d be honored to have you with us.
Thank you for believing in Project OKAERI.
