LAND - SELF SUSTAINED PARADISE

Hi, I’m Dom. I live off-grid—but on borrowed land, which means I can’t build anything permanent or fully bring my vision to life. My dream is to own land, where I can create an off-grid sanctuary rooted in freedom, self-sufficiency, and harmony with nature.

💵 I’m raising money —not for things, but for land. Land is life. It’s where food grows, shelter stands, and freedom begins. In today’s world, even the basics like food, water, and shelter are tied to a price tag. I want to break free from that system and create a space where abundance is natural, not bought.

THE VISION

🌳 A Thriving Food Forest: A self-sustaining ecosystem with fruits, nuts, berries, and medicinal plants—designed with a level of creativity that will make it unlike anything anyone has ever seen. It won’t just be abundant; it will be a living masterpiece.

🐐 Animals In Balance: In my off-grid vision, animals will roam freely as part of a balanced ecosystem, never used for slaughter but respected for their natural roles.

Spanish goats will manage the land by clearing invasive plants like poison ivy, poison oak, and sumac, keeping the area healthy without chemicals. Their manure will enrich the soil, boost plant growth, and support a thriving food forest.

🛖 An Earth-Covered House: Built into the earth for natural insulation, stormproof durability, and seamless integration with the landscape. The beauty of an underground home is that it doesn’t take up any of the earth’s growing surface. Plants, trees, and wildlife can thrive right above it, preserving the natural ecosystem. Plus, it stays cool in the summer, warm in the winter, and is protected from extreme weather.

3 FORMS OF WATER DELIVERY

Water is one of the most crucial elements for self-sufficiency, and my goal is to have a fully off-grid water system that works naturally, without dependence on municipal supply or electricity. My plan involves a three-method system to ensure a constant and sustainable water source:

1. River Sink System: My primary water source will be directly from a natural stream. Using a river sink setup, water will be drawn from the stream and channeled into a filtration system before use. This setup mimics old-world technology, where water naturally flows into a designated sink area, allowing for effortless access to fresh, running water. The flow is controlled by a simple gravity-fed intake system, ensuring water is always available without the need for electricity or excessive infrastructure.

2. Gravity-Fed Water Reservoir: To increase reliability and prevent water shortages, I will integrate a gravity-fed water reservoir tank between the house and the upper stream flow. This tank will act as a midpoint collection system, allowing the stream to bypass through it first before continuing its natural downhill flow. This design ensures:

Continuous water movement: The stream will keep the tank full 24/7, preventing stagnant water.

Gravity-powered flow: Positioned higher than the house but lower than the stream, the tank will naturally distribute water without the need for electricity.

Emergency backup: If the stream were to dry up during a drought, the tank would provide a reserve supply, ensuring water availability even in dry season.

Self-cleaning system: Because water is constantly moving in and out, this setup avoids the risks of standing water, algae buildup, or contamination.

3. Hand Pump Well: For additional water control and flexibility, I will incorporate a hand pump system that can deliver water from the stream or reservoir when needed. This system ensures access to water even in dry conditions, allowing me to move water to specific locations or increase pressure when gravity alone isn't sufficient.

⚙️ Water Wheel Power: Picture a 10-foot diameter waterwheel, about 3 feet wide, turning every second continuously without stop. This waterwheel isn’t just about energy⚡️ it’s about freedom.

Modern electricity ties us to companies we constantly pay for basic needs. Even with solar, it requires the reliance on electrical components. My goal is to eliminate the need of electrical equipment as much as possible, to rely on mechanical physics to generate electricity.

This mechanical setup breaks that cycle, showing how natural ingenuity can provide without the burden of endless bills.
