Well, I'm venturing back into the world of Art Journalling.
I’ve tried art journaling before and gave up after a few pages, simply because I didn’t know what it was meant to be.
This time, I’m approaching it differently.

Using a small, inexpensive sketchbook and simple materials, I’m focusing on process over perfection.
The first page is built around neurographic and zentangle-inspired patterns, calming colour choices, and a single focusing word.
It’s less about the end result and more about having a space to decompress, play, and enjoy drawing without expectations.
If you’re a beginner, feeling stuck, or unsure where to start with art journalling, I hope this video shows that there really are no rules—and that you don’t need fancy supplies or a plan to begin.
I won’t be filming every page of this journal, as it’s intended to be my no-pressure, pick-up-and-play book, but I will be sharing progress in my monthly Arty Updates.
My work isn't perfect - but it's real.
