Why I Write About Physiotherapy (Even Though I'm Not a Physiotherapist)

May 22, 2025

Hello and welcome! I'm Erin — and no, I'm not a physiotherapist.

But I did spend quite some time working in a physiotherapy center as a content creator. My job was to create educational content, and in the process, I got to learn a lot from real physiotherapists: how our bodies move, why pain shows up, and why certain exercises are great for some people but not for others.

For example:

Did you know jogging isn't always the best idea for people with obesity to lose weight?

Brisk walking might be a safer, more sustainable option!

I used to wonder why, and I got the answers from the therapists I worked with.

Over time, I realized that a lot of people are completely in the dark about their own bodies. They only start searching for answers when pain becomes a problem — and even then, the information online can be too technical or conflicting.

So I started this little space to bridge that gap! 💡

I'm not here to diagnose or give medical advice (of course that's the therapist's job la..)

But I'll share the basics I've learned, from a content creator's point of view, supported by professionals and reliable sources.

If you find these insights helpful, you can support me by buying a coffee ☕^^ — it keeps this page going and means a lot.

Thanks for being here. Stay curious and take care of your body!
