I'm Pete Longden — founder of the Northern Soul Foundation, and a soulie since 1976 when I caught the last bus to Wigan Casino at sixteen in a borrowed pair of bags.

The Foundation is my life's collection turned public archive: more than 11,000 records researched, 10,000 videos restored, 4,000 artist biographies, the 500 records that defined the scene, original flyers and posters from the Casino, the Mecca and the Catacombs — all free, for everyone, forever.

No adverts, no paywall, no sponsors.

Your coffee keeps it that way. Every cup goes straight into hosting, digitising the paper archive, restoring videos, and the research that keeps the history true. The scene gave me everything — this is me giving it back, with your help.

Keep the faith. ☕
