Nordic Music Central’s objective is to promote artists and bands from the Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden) and their dependencies (the Faroe Islands and Greenland) - in the Nordic countries themselves, in the UK – my home country – and anywhere else where my thoughts might be read. They can be established or ‘budding’ artists, I don’t mind. If I like them I will review them, and often if I don’t!

In the three years we’ve been going we’ve been read in just about every country on Earth. The biggest readership is collectively in those Nordic countries but individually it is in the USA.'

We write honest and ‘proper’ reviews, avoiding flowery language and industry rote. Nor do we ‘gush’ unless there is a very good reason for it such as discovering a budding global star. (And we do have a few nominees for that!)

If we criticise it will always be constructive criticism. I like to try to entertain, and might throw in the odd jokey one-liner to liven things up a bit. But at the end of the day it is all about the artists. They are the ones who really keep us entertained, I’m just the messenger.
