Greetings from Planet Earth,
I have been a creative participant in film and media for over 40 years. I began my career as an actress/host/journalist in Vancouver Canada. In 1994 I relocated to Los Angeles where I moved behind the camera. My work as a producer and writer has earned me stellar recognition and awards internationally. I'm an active mentor for students and share my collective knowledge (camera, lighting audio, etc.) and my budgeting, scheduling, and guerilla-style film production tricks.
In 2008-2009 I taught Digital Film Production (SAE Institute) and coordinated with the Dubai Government to launch the first Women in Film (WIFT) chapter in the Middle East.
In Canada in 2010, I created a program with Metro Vancouver to teach residents how to live more sustainably.
I've traveled extensively, (46 countries so far) documenting and investigating stories from the Amazon Jungle to the Himalayan Mountains.
Having settled, for now, in Scotland, I'm satisfying my creative addictions by working on fabulous projects for near and far. Of course, in my usual fashion, they will all be socially relevant and break traditional boundaries. Oh yeah, and I'm writing my memoirs. Be sure to subscribe to one of my websites for a sneak preview.
