‚Irahithil of the Liquid Fire - Felarch of the Meandering Flames Voidscarred Corsairs‘
So this is the first mini I converted and painted after 12 years of obstaining from Tabletop… Pretty satisfied with the result, what do you think?
As many I want my Kill Team to be personalized, good that the Voidscarred come with capes (which I‘m not a fan of, coat over cape, be it on minis or in real life), so I start by sculpting these into coats, which will already set them apart from the standard kit builds…
I also think the Voidscarred models as they come are a little to top heavy, to balance this out I decided to add a kilt-esque piece of fabric crafted from Milliput to the back of the legs… Looks awesome on the Felarch in my opinion and I think it will work especially good on the Way Seeker!
I went for a colour scheme to compliment the grim dark of 40k and kept the flashy colours for accentuating the model…
Since I plan to put my Voidscarred Kill Team in a cold and snowy enviroment, the muted colours of the armour, skin and cloth will work nicely with the snowy base, for both setting the contrast and consistency!
