Hello! I'm an artist, educator, and doctoral researcher exploring my hometown of Los Alamos, New Mexico—a place that holds more stories than most people know.

Through an arts-based research approach that involves painting with natural pigments (made from soils around Los Alamos), studying myself as I explore Northern New Mexico, and speaking with artists and community groups, I'm on a journey to understand Los Alamos' hidden histories and powerful legacy. While this project was created to deepen my own connection to place, family, and history, in pursuing this work I seek to uncover lessons that extend to all of our lives. I am asking: What does my responsibility to place look like within this context, particularly in relation to land, community, and more-than-human life? This work forms the heart of my dissertation project, This Land Made Me: Making Art in the Shadow of Los Alamos, New Mexico.
