Small Beginnings...

Feb 15, 2022

Hi There!

Not sure if there's anyone out there reading this, but I'm a developer by hobby and trade, hoping to start contributing more to the open source community.

Writing about what I do or build is new to me so I'm not really sure how to start, though I figure a good place might be to share a simple project of mine called "Flowmancer".

Flowmancer is small framework for building batch processes in Python and is meant to provide a (hopefully) simple means to define serial or parallel tasks, task dependencies, task observers, and much more.

Put another way, it enables building processes as logical DAGs into your project, similar to what you would do in something like Airflow and similar products, but without requiring external systems.

If you're want to take a peek at the project, feel free to peruse the GitHub repo.

If you'd like to install it and give it a whirl, you can pip install the flowmancer package from PyPi.
