Hey there my amazing fans!
So if you haven't already seen... I recently announced an upcoming headline show in 'The Workman's Club' on November 20th in Dublin. I'm very excited about this one as it will be my first headline show as a solo act in Dublin as 'Nathan Johnston,' - so it feels like a bit of a milestone for me!
Funnily enough, the last solo headline gig I played in Dublin was also in The Workmans Club in 2022, but that time I performed as 'Sion Hill' and so much has happened since then it just feels like a new venture for me and I think it's the perfect place to return to make a fresh start in this new chapter of my career.

It's also a little daunting to only see my name on the poster and nothing else (I've already played a number of headline shows as 'Nathan Johnston & the Angels of Libra,' so it's not new to see my name) to me it really signifies something fresh and sets a strong tone for what's to come. So I'm nervous but also happy to be on what feels like the right path.
This show will also have some other fun and unique features to it, most notably is an art exhibition from my partner Barbara Soares. I'm really excited for what she is going to bring to the event and she's also helping me with designing the merch so it's going to be very special (I'm still in the dark about that but all will be revealed soon!)
Also, my pal Michele Savini of the Vinyl DJ collective 'Soundglasses' along with the great Kike Martinez will be playing a set of funk, soul and ska to open up the night. I regularly go to see The Soundglasses events around Dublin and I love this idea of the DJ as support to get people dancing before the show and get the vibes going!! And no better group of DJs for it in the Dublin scene!
Lastly, I will have a very nice band with me, including some fellow Mullingar musicians and some new brilliant musicians from the scene as well as one or two guest features... So stay tuned for that! ;)
I hope it's going to be a sellout show and a night for people to remember so please do share it with anyone you think might like my music and would enjoy the evening!!
