I wrote this poem today after listening to Jason Mraz's “Look for the Good”. It got me thinking about trust, human nature, faith, ego, and the goodness we can — or sometimes struggle to — see in others.
What makes a human trust another human?
Popularity? Charisma? Charm? Kindness?
Standing in your own truth,
Whether good or bad?
If all relationships take time,
Why so slow for some and effortless for others?
The only relationship that we should trust,
Is God or a higher source bigger than us.
No seriously,
If one thing I could teach today,
Is to look for the good in everyone - yes even the evil ones,
Understand that ego/devil/satin (whatever ya want to call it)
Is what has corrupted humility.
Contradicted by seriousness of religion,
While learning the art of “manifestation and the law of attraction”
Faith, peace and love to all who understands the battles.
So, I ask again,
What makes you trust another human?
