Coffee in the village! Join me ☕️

Jul 14, 2024

Hi there! Let's enjoy a coffee together in the village while we still have power 🤭

Recently, I've considered closing this blog. I just didn't have the energy to consistently share interesting stories.

Daily anxieties, power outages lasting up to 16 hours, climbing 15 floors with my child in 30-degree heat, and no electricity to shower. Trying to work in these conditions with a little one in my arms has been exhausting. There's no room left for focusing on writing.

You end up living on autopilot, focusing on what's truly important. For me, that's family and a close friend (I've cut down social interactions a lot). Most importantly, it's my daughter. I try to note what I'll tell her about how we're living now and what I'll teach her as she grows.

Simple daily things force you to reevaluate your values. You no longer multitask but focus on what's important to achieve results or enjoy the moment. Capture and cherish those moments.

So, I thought about closing the blog because it felt like an extra drain on my limited resources. Worrying about what to share, how to format it, and what to post on Twitter to maintain engagement. But yesterday, I read something that changed my mind.

In a book about children's intellectual development, I found a piece on making kids happy. Research shows that what makes us happy is social connections: family, friends, any interaction.

At that moment, I realized that maybe, someday, this blog will end. But definitely not now. Because you, my readers, make me happy.

P.S: I wanted to tell you about the warriors and do it regularly. I'm sorry, but I just don't have the energy. I'll share links to sources I find instead.

I'm glad I can be honest with you. Hugs. You're amazing. Incredibly grateful for everything 🩷

And to conclude, here’s a glimpse into my village motherhood vibe:
