A proposito di Nabalayo
making music and creating art
Hi 👋
I'm Nabalayo. An all-round creative based in Nairobi- Kenya.
Music making is my main craft. I am a trained professional with a bachelor's degree in music arts. I make Kenyan folk/ soul music in the Changanya idiom (more about changanya on nabalayo.com). I'm an independent artist who self produces her own stuff!
I am also an illustrator.
Outside my work I am a plant mom. My favourite babies being sanseveria, monstera and cactus.
I am an anime nerd and orchestra nerd (I play the violin). My favourite desert is cake with ice-cream. I just left my grunge phase and I'm settling into my cottage core phase and I'm enjoying it so far!
