Before we tell you what we will do with the dollars you give in support, what is K for Coffee?

K FOR COFFEE is the end result of several years of learning and extensive thinking. This vision was brought to life through our love for Honduras and the exceptional specialty coffees it produces. From the very beginning, we’ve been inspired by the richness of Honduran coffee and have worked tirelessly to create a truly transcendent cold brew coffee experience as reflected in our motto:

The meaning of K FOR COFFEE ?

In 1582, the word "coffee" as we know it today entered the English language. Before that, nearly every language had its own variation, often beginning with the letter K.

Words like "Kaffie" in Dutch, or similar terms in Germanic and Slavic languages, reflected the deep cultural roots of coffee, long before the colonial era.

This is the inspiration behind K FOR COFFEE: a name that ties back to pre-colonial times and honors the heritage of coffee producers from its very beginnings.

K - stands for pre-colonialism.

Because let’s not forget - this is also the point in history when colonialism tightened its grip on the coffee world. What began as a crop of culture and community became an engine of exploitation. And time after time, we missed the chance to do better.

Until now...

The challenge is: 

How to develop, at a reasonable cost, a product and an industry that provide autonomy and also reflect the skills as well as the knowledge of the coffee producers in the producing country?

For a long time, organizations committed to supporting coffee producing countries have been searching for a way to help these regions move beyond the limitations of raw commodity trade. The goal: to add value where the coffee is grown, creating new revenue streams for producers and allowing them to benefit not just from the bean, but from the final product itself.

Now imagine winemakers without vineyards, relying on imported grapes from halfway across the world

It would be unthinkable. Illogical. Entirely unsustainable and a 100% madness.

K FOR COFFEE believe cold brew coffee should follow the same logic as wine: produced where the raw materials grow best, with full respect for origin, craft, and sustainability. Just like wine is made among the vineyards, cold brew should be made where the coffee is grown.

It’s simple. It’s coherent. It’s the future.

Why Honduras ?

Honduras is the top coffee producer in Central America and the sixth largest in the world. But for us, it goes far beyond statistics.

Our connection to Honduras is personal, lived, and deeply rooted. It’s where the soul of K FOR COFFEE was born for two simple and unforgettable reasons:

• 1- It was on my very first visit to a finca in Honduras that the vision for this project became clear. Something struck me. A feeling. A purpose. The dream took shape right there, surrounded by the land, the people, and the rhythm of coffee at its origin.

• 2- Honduran specialty coffee offers a profile unlike any other vibrant, rich, and full of nuance. It's naturally suited for cold brew coffee, making it the ideal foundation for a transcendent coffee experience.

Honduras didn’t just inspire the idea. It IS the idea ! The heart, the ground, and it's where the story begins.

I've long dreamed of using a social platform that allows you to raise 5 million times 1 US dollar to create a project.
