MyIreland.ie is an interactive digital atlas exploring 10,000 years
Hi, I'm Diaz. I build myireland.ie from my kitchen table in Sligo – an interactive atlas of Irish history where you drag a timeline from 8000 BC to today and watch the 32 counties change hands. There's also a Famine map, a surname map showing where your people came from, a placename decoder, and a growing book of myths, monuments and saints. It's free and ad-free, and I'd like to keep it that way. What it costs is hosting, map data, and a lot of evenings reading old records so the site says something true. If it helped you find your county, settle an argument, or finally understand your surname, a coffee keeps the lights on and buys the next set of sources. Want a name or a place added? Just tell me – it's a growing book, not a finished one. Go raibh míle maith agat.
