Over the past weeks I’ve been developing a new Morrowind mod centered around Gnaar Mok and the construction of a Hlaalu-funded lighthouse on the Bitter Coast.
Gnaar Mok lighthouse under construction in its first stage
Some of you may know I’ve modeled lighthouses for Vvardenfell before, but this project goes further, featuring a fully fledged questline built around the lighthouse itself.
At the heart of the questline is Almse Arenim, a sharp and ambitious lesser Hlaalu noble tasked with overseeing the project. What begins as a seemingly practical improvement to the coast quickly reveals itself as something more political, more dangerous, and far less straightforward than it appears.
The start of the questline, and the rest of the Hlaalu path, will involve the lesser noble Almse Arenim and her rise to power.
The mod is shaping up to be a full questline with multiple stages and with player choices. Depending on how you handle early situations, the story can branch in different directions, with some consequences that unfold over time rather than immediately. I’m aiming for something that feels really fit Morrowind: grounded, morally gray, and tied closely to local power struggles.
I’m keeping spoilers light for now, but expect themes of influence, control, and who really benefits when “progress” arrives at a struggling coastal town.
Current plan is to release the mod this May, alongside the Morrowind May Modathon. Your support gives me the motivation to spend the time needed to create the mod . If you decide to support me, thank you very much! ❤️
