Good afternoon. I hope you're having a good Sunday. I'm here to provide you all an update on the Stream Deck that you helped fund. It arrived right before my birthday on the 13th and I've now had a full week to set it up and test it out.
It works great. I'll admit, it took me a little time to figure some things out and I still have much to learn, but what I've managed so far has greatly helped. Among other things, I can -
Control OBS for recording without fumbling with the keyboard by creating a panel specifically for that purpose
Easily take in-game screenshots at the tap of a button. This has proven invaluable and I'll be using it to attempt to create more dynamic thumbnails
Control streams a lot easier, creating a whole panel to start/stop the stream, change between screens, and even faster muting when I need to cough
Control the Steelseries Sonar app, making it easier to adjust the volume on the viewer's end. Now if something is too loud or too soft, I can push a couple of buttons and adjust the volume
Have fun. I've created panels for silly sound effects and another for royalty-free music playlists should I prefer to listen to something other than the in-game music
So, overall, I rate the Stream Deck Neo a must have to control a stream without fumbling around like I've never used my hands before out of 10.
I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to you all. Your support has been a great blessing and I appreciate everyone.
Finally, I would ask you a small favor. This one isn't for me, however. There is a young man, known as Kabrutus, who's started his own Buy Me a Coffee. His goal is to reach $3000 to fund a new computer for his streams, videos, and his education as he's currently schooling in Japan to learn the language. If you'd like, head over to his page - https://buymeacoffee.com/kabrutus - and check him out, share his page with anyone you think might be interested, etc. It would mean a lot to me to see him get his computer, he's been working hard and he's an absolute dear.
Until next time, bye for now!
