Spreading humans & turtle happiness

This is Mr Mostly Mittens, our 9yr old Red Earred Slider Turtle.  He is a terrapin which means he lives on land and in the water. We do daily lives on TikTok of Mittens playing, cuddling and loving us when we take him out of his tank.  Mittens is the best turtle ever and deserves the best life ever.  We get him out of the tank a few hrs a day but spends most of his time in his tank and his current tank setup needs updating desperately.  His 60gal tank is too small for his size, it is recommended that 10gl for every once of shell and he’s at least 9inches now.  So we need to upgrade to a larger tank of course with new heaters and filters to go with it. He is also growing bigger right now and is shedding his scutes on his shell which means the smaller parts of his shell come off and larger scutes are underneath.  He has shed like this 2 other times successfully and scutes usually pop off in large sections but this time Mittens is having a rough go of it and shedding in small little bits.  We think this means we also need a new basking area with new lights. Our goals for this fundraiser is for Mittens to be the healthiest/happiest turtle so we can continue to spread happiness and make people smile with our adorable turtle.   We just want Mittens to have the best life possible.   Anything over our goal will be donated to turtle rescue group
