Supper at the Mighty & Trouble Table — Part 1: Weeknight Suppers
$3.49
Supper at the Mighty & Trouble Table — Part 1: Weeknight Suppers is the supper half of a real working family's cookbook — 17 budget recipes that get supper on the table FAST. Most of the weeknight meals are ready in about 30 minutes, the slow-cooker nights ask about 15 minutes of you in the morning and none at 5:47 p.m., and every recipe is built from cheap, ordinary groceries that stretch. Nothing fancy, nothing wasted, and not one recipe written by somebody with a staff and a studio kitchen.
This is PART 1 of 2. Part 2 (sold separately) holds the 4 kid-favorite funny-name suppers, the 4 simple sweets, the no-cook Kid Corner, the Pantry Swap Chart, and the Family Favorites rating chart. Buy either part on its own — each one stands alone — or both for the whole book.
A little about us: We're a real mom and dad raising our four kids — Ruby, Violet, Max, and Daisy — in a little small town in America, working hard, loving each other through the everyday chaos, and making stories and suppers for families like ours. What we stand on is simple: faith, family, and never quitting on each other — including at 5:47 p.m. when nobody knows what's for supper. This book is our answer to 5:47 p.m. Every recipe is rated (in paw prints) by Meatball, our very fat, very slow dog and official taste-tester, who still prefers Dad's shoe.
WHAT'S INSIDE: 24 pages — a full contents map on page 3, then one recipe per page with ingredients, plain tired-parent steps, an honest time, and a true note from our table —
· 8 weeknight suppers: Skillet Cheeseburger Rice, Chicken & Gravy over Mashed Potatoes, Sausage Potato & Green Bean Sheet Pan, Spaghetti Night, Oven BBQ Chicken Legs, Breakfast-for-Supper Pancakes & Eggs, Tuna Noodle Skillet, Chicken Quesadilla Night
· 5 slow-cooker & budget dinners: Potato Soup, Beans & Rice with Smoked Sausage, Chicken & Dumplings, Pulled Pork, Freezer Clean-Out Vegetable Beef Soup
· 4 Dad-on-the-grill nights: Backyard Burgers, Ballpark Night Grilled Dogs & Foil Corn, Foil-Pack Sausage Peppers & Potatoes, Grilled Chicken Legs with Dad's Sweet Rub
· 3 kitchen helper pages: a printable Weekly Supper Planner, a Grocery List organized by store section, and a Leftovers Remix page (one supper becomes three)
WHAT YOU NEED: A printer and US Letter paper to print it (or read it on any phone, tablet, or computer), plus ordinary groceries — cheap staples on purpose; store brand is a compliment in this house. Recipes are written to feed a family of six, and most scale down fine.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a digital download — all sales are final and purchases are non-refundable. If your file ever fails to download, message us and we will get your copy to you.
This is a printable home cookbook — no physical book is mailed. Cook times and yields are honest approximations from our stove; yours may vary a little, and that is cooking.
