Update + Shrine of Savras (Dragon of Icespire Peak)

Mar 22, 2023

In my previous housekeeping post I said that, after the OGL controversy, I was unlikely to return to making maps based on Wizard of the Coast's adventures. Since then I've remembered that the reason I made these in the first place was to help new players and DMs enter the roleplaying hobby while making in-person games easier to run.

In light of this, I've decided to finish making the set. I'm still unimpressed with WotC, but that doesn't mean I can't continue to help my fellow players play.

In other news, I've realised that Dropbox quite often turns off its sharing! This means that time often passes without me realising that my maps are unavailable for download. This isn't at all intended, and I apologise if you've not been able to access my offerings. Everything will now be hosted on my website (jaywestcott.co.uk) where the URL will always be accessible.

The maps are also available as Extras here. These previously provided a link to the dropbox download (due to the limit on file size), but will now provide a downloadable A4 PDF instead.

The Shrine of Savras

Five miles south of Conyberry is a shrine dedicated to Savras, god of divination and fate. Many years ago, the shrine’s priest-seers foresaw a barbarian attack on Conyberry, giving the townsfolk time to escape.

Over the years, many other creatures have occupied the shrine. Most recently, a gang of wererats laired here until they were driven out by orcs displaced by Cryovain the white dragon. Recently, ogres wandered by the shrine, saw the orcs, and decided to join them.

This new map is for the Shrine of Savras, the old ruin devoted to the god of divination. As before, there are three versions of the map: the DM's, the Player's, and the Cartographer's. The DM and Player version should be self-explanatory, while the cartographer's version is a partially blank map intended for players who like to draw along with their DM's description.

Also included is a version of the location before it became a ruin.

Each includes a pre-prepared PDF for quick and simple printing.
