I used to open Instagram over 100 times a day. Not because I needed to but because my thumb had its own agenda.
Screen Time limits? Useless. I'd just tap "Ignore Limit" and keep scrolling. I wanted something that doesn't just block apps entirely, because sometimes you actually need to check a DM or do something for work. But nothing out there could tell the difference between a real reason and a lazy excuse. So I built ScrollJail: An AI-powered gatekeeper that actually asks you WHY you're opening an app, then decides if your reason is legit.
Spoiler: "just checking" usually doesn't fly.
In the first week my daily attempts dropped significantly. That's not really willpower that's just friction doing its job.
