Morgellons can be tricky to prove, but the proof can be elicited. To be certain, "Morgellons" is a skin condition where filaments which appear out of place manifest embedded in skin tissue. So how can you tell if the fuzz on your skin is from your favorite pair of Levi jeans, or from a serious underlying bacterial process?
The key to demonstrating Morgellons disease is to show that 1. The filaments are microscopic and 2. that they are embedded in skin tissue.
"In these scenarios it becomes important to the patient to find evidence of filament disease, if they have not already done so, by magnification of itchy skin or evident dermopathy. Examination with a high power magnification of at least 60x is essential in the search for the presence of filaments under unbroken skin1–3. The following images and videos are from the same location on my thigh, all filmed on the same day in March of 2017. It's rare if ever I experience wild bundles of filaments like this any longer. I now see a Lyme Disease specialist and am receiving treatment for Morgellons Disease.

But proving the fibers are embedded in the skin requires a greater magnification.

Using a combination of both devices, you may be able to demonstrate fluorescent Morgellons fibers.
