But what if everything you thought you knew is in Retrograde?
It’s been 3 years since I published my first book
Being an author was one of my childhood dreams. There were so many author’s who’s work I admired such as Omar Tyree, Terri Woods, Nikki Turner, Carl Weber, Wahida Clark, Vicki M. Stringer, Kiki Swinson, Tracy Brown, Trista Russel, Zane (at times, cause chile 🫣) , among many others.
But no other author fired up my desire to write, the way Sister Souljah did with her book “The Coldest Winter Ever”. It was something about her writing style that made me feel like I was right there with the characters. Like I could smell the cold New York air, feel the breeze against my face and hear the chatter of onlookers as Ms. Winter walked down those familiar streets and I’m not from NY……. nonetheless, I felt ever word.
And from then, life caught up with me just like it does with all of us.......
