My name is Viktoriia Bezdieniezhnykh, and I am a passionate Ukrainian mountaineer on a mission to conquer the 7 Summits, the highest peaks on each continent.
To date, I have successfully climbed Aconcagua, Elbrus, Kilimanjaro, and Kosciuszko. Denali (also known as McKinley) will be my 5th summit, and it is the highest peak in North America, located in Alaska. After Denali, I plan to climb Everest, and the final one will be the highest peak of Antarctica, Vinson Massive.
In addition to these major peaks, I have also summited Matterhorn, Island Peak, Mont Blanc, Lobuche East, Kazbek, Tête Blanche, Layla, and other mountains around the world.
My passion for the mountains started with an inspiring conversation between me and my grandma, when she showed me a picture of her, 20 years old young lady, summiting Elbrus more than 50 years ago. That time I promised her to do the same by my 20th, and I did. Because I am always looking for bigger challenges in life, I started my 7 Summits journey.
The war in Ukraine impacted my dream dramatically, and I had to rebuild my life from scratch in Cracow, Poland. Despite the immense obstacles, I continue to move forward toward my goals, aiming to inspire others with my resilience and strength.
Through my expeditions, I aim to promote Ukraine and the women`s power in alpinism. My goal is to highlight the courage and determination of the Ukrainian people, no matter what we have lost, and show the world that we will continue to rise above all challenges.
