When can I book an appointment?
Since I work in batches, I won't be taking appointments ALL THE TIME. Instead, I would announce a date when I will be open for commissions, how many faces I'll be accepting that month, along with the date/time/method. I will usually update on my twitter account, so please follow either @monstastudio or @monstastudio_en for more current updates.
What method do you use for applying the faces?
I draw the faces digitally before printing them on waterslide decals and applying them onto the face. I do not do hand-drawn painting due to the fact that I am a horrible painter. The only other equipment I use on the face is powder chalk for adding a blush effect.
How sturdy are waterslide decals?
Waterslide decals are actually pretty sturdy and will require acetone or other chemicals to remove it properly. However, it is vulnerable to sharp and pointy objects or surfaces, so the utmost care should be used when handling it at all times to keep it in good condition.
Do I need to find my own face plate to send you?
For international customers, you don't have to if you don't wish to. I can provide empty nendoroid face plates for you (which will be included in the price). However, the face plates come in limited skin tone, so if you are looking for a very specific skin tone and need it to be exactly identical, then you might have to send it to me yourself. Otherwise, the skin tone is fairly similar to most nendoroids.
How many faces can I order per commission?
You may order more than one if you'd like. When I'm open for commission I will specify how many faces I am willing to draw that month, so as long as it is not above that number, you're good!
Can I add more faces even though I originally asked for only 1? I just got an idea for another face I want and I can't wait!
Sure. I rarely say no, but if I really can't due to time limits or already going way over the intended number, then I will let you know.
Can I make adjustments after seeing the draft?
For any small minor adjustments (eg.changing eye/mouth size, small adjustment to the shape, etc) that is completely fine and I am more than happy to do so. However, if you want to change it to something completely different from the brief that you sent me originally, then I will have to fine you for that. Depending on how big the change is, the fine starts at $5.
Do you take other jobs?
As of right now, I only draw nendoroid faces, recolouring, and small modifications to nendoroid hair and body parts. I am hoping to do 3D printing in the future. Until then, please stay tuned and thank you for being interested in my work!
