Hope is high and I'm feeling the best I've felt in awhile despite everything being sore and/or hurting. I got my first hit for a possible housing opertunity. Currently in the process of filling paperwork to apply for the unit. I have most of the documentation I need to provide just waiting on my SSID. And I need to talk to one of the Nurse Practitioners who works with the outreach program I'm with to get a quick disability diagnosis for my back. Other than those two things I have all the other documents I need to provide to have a shot at this unit. Things are looking up and I can see a very faint light further down this tunnel. Not sure if it's the end of the tunnel or just a service light yet. Either way it's providing hope and will serve as a mile marker for my journey.
Now if I land this unit I will probably still need some assistance financially. But I will be able to apply for rent and utility assistance. I would more be asking for help with things like a mattress or a cot even. Cooking implements like some pots and pans and maybe a pressure cooker. Silverware. A desk. And various other things not covered with food stamps or the housing assistance programs. If I get the disability benefits that will mainly go toward rent or other bills depending on the benefit amount.
