The art of making sense of this life

The art of making sense of this life

Sep 24, 2025

Sitting in front of the desk with the computer open, to actually make an effort to write, feels like a little victory on it's own.

We tend to postpone and procrastinate what really matters to us, which is crazy of course, but oh so understandable.

Don't we all carry wishes and dreams within the heart? A wish to be seen for who we truly are? A dream to make a contribution to this world, in a meaningful way?

Yet we end up doing work that just pays the bills, but leaves us feeling empty inside. It's like we know we have so much more to give, but because the butterfly in Brazil didn't flap it's wing in the right time (or whatever the reason might be) we still live our mundane and ordinary life.

I mean, you could be sitting in a palace somewhere in the Middle East, gracefully strolling through your paradise garden, with that same butterfly landing on your palm. Whispering ancient secrets of self-realisation. Or maybe it's a cheeky Instagram butterfly telling you how to make a million dollars in ten days.

How can I make sense about this life?

I don't want to give too much energy to the back side of the coin. I want to focus on what is good. But sometimes it's challenging.

We're daily bombarded with so many things to get upset about in this world. Sometimes I think:

"What the heck is this, where am I, can you please just get me back from where I came from, thank you very much."

I believe in a holistic view of being a human. I believe we are souls, inhabiting these bodies for a little while, until we get back being pure crystal light beings again.

Was gonna write that our task is just to survive this little moment we're here on earth. But that's just my ego talking in a slightly upset manner. Instead I'm gonna write:

Our task on earth is to breathe. Right now. Inhale. Exhale. Very good :)

Our task is to be a bit more present. A bit more human and humane.

To be authentic.

To make sense of this world, just one breath at a time. Not the whole life at once.

Never loose hope

What gives me hope is actually you reading these words.

Perhaps these words gives hope to you too.

Because sometimes we just need to hear the right words in the right time, and it carries us onward on our life journey:

"There is always hope."

These words are a free expression from within. Made visible by your free choice to take a moment to connect with me and the world. In this moment we connect, you and me.

For a brief moment in time, we share a mutual experience, that goes beyond the mundane of paying taxes, worrying about AI or calculating ROI.

We make this peaceful moment our soul's home on earth.

One breath at a time.

Let's smile and give thanks to each other.

I see you. You see me.

And I think we just made a little bit more sense of this life.

Yours truly,

Monika💜

Here's a pic of a butterfly that landed on my hand, while I was living in my own happy cocoon for a couple of weeks in September 2025, serving as a guide at one of the two amethyst mines in Finland. Find out more about ethical crystals from Finland at www.ametistiaarre.fi AND www.giitu.love 💜image
