Mark the beginning of each new month with shared mindfulness. Bring these guided mindfulness worksheets along on a nature walk at the start of each month and get in touch with each of your senses along the way.

Choose a trail you like, walk your neighborhood or just wander in your own backyard. Each month, visit the same space - it will look, feel, smell, and sound different.

There are two pages for each month: one for grown-ups and one for kids. First, the grown-up-focused worksheet guides your group through the senses and absorbing the nature around you. The kid-focused worksheets have room for them to draw or write their observations. Then, the grown-up version allows just you to reflect further as they finish drawing or move on to play. Feel the moment, reflect on the past month and look ahead to how you would like this month to feel.

This is not a place for a To-Do list, only a Ta-Da list! Celebrate your small wins, note the precious milestones, record where you are at and enjoy looking back over your year of change & growth.

I did not include taste because that seemed unwise to incite tasting in the forest. If you feel like expanding the activity bring along a snack that makes sense for your family to connect with the month. Maybe Strawberries in June or pumpkin muffins in October. (No pressure, you can just talk about the tastes of the season too!)

There is a lot we can learn from the rhythms of nature. Connect with yourself, connect with your crew and maybe slow time down a little.
