Hi Friends,
May has arrived here in Alaska, and it finally feels like everything is waking up, and so are we.
We officially got everything cleared and are ready to start reworking the land. This is a big step for us and something we’ve been looking forward to for a long time. There’s something about a fresh start, bare ground, and a vision for what’s next that just fills your heart with excitement.
The chicks are doing amazing, growing fast, full of life, and keeping us busy in the best way. Inside the house… well, let’s just say spring has taken over 😄 We’ve got green plants, flower pots, and veggie starts everywhere you look. It’s a beautiful kind of chaos.
Outside, things are picking up pace too. We’re moving the woodshed, redoing the coop, and getting the garden prepped and ready to plant. There’s a lot to do, but it’s the kind of work that reminds us why we love this life so much.
We’re also really looking forward to the end of May, I’ll be speaking at the homestead conference, which is such an honor. I always love getting to meet so many of you in person and sharing this journey together.
And something very close to our hearts—we’re excited to be working with the food bank again this May on a special project. Giving back to our community is something we care deeply about, and we can’t wait to share more with you soon.
This season is full, a little messy, and incredibly meaningful. Thank you for being part of it with us.
