Hey! I'm Akuro / mockup.
I'm saving up for a MacBook Pro for content creation, app development, and school. I currently have no laptop for school right now.
I have a base model Mac mini currently, but its specs aren't enough – while Blender is significantly faster than my old Windows laptop (which is now broken lol), more complex scenes can still cause my Mac to hang. I run out of storage space frequently due to creative apps with big app and project files and multiple apps I need to multitask with (Xcode, After Effects, Figma, etc.) can cause my Mac to slow down significantly and show insufficient memory errors.
For those reasons, I'm getting significant upgrades on the MacBook Pro (not just for content creation, but this will also be my only machine for work and school for the foreseeable future), which is why my goal seems so much more expensive than the base model. Unfortunately, the MacBook Pro is not at all a cheap laptop, and "Apple tax" is alive and well meaning upgrades bump up the price quite a ton. Which is exactly why I need your help!
