Every market day two stocks get bought and put into a portfolio:

🟢 The Mob's Portfolio - whichever ticker the internet voted for hardest. Vote on the website at mobvsmonkey.lol or by posting $TICKER in the Twitch chat at twitch.tv/mobvsmonkey.

🟠 The Monkey's Portfolio - a ticker chosen at random from a pool of liquid US equities. Literally random. Pretend a monkey threw a dart.

Both sides get the same dollar amount, every day. We never sell. The two portfolios diverge over time based purely on the picks.

The whole question: can the crowd beat a dartboard?

This is a personal experiment, run from a single Alpaca brokerage account I fund myself. Not a service, not a fund, not investment advice. Just a small running joke that asks whether internet consensus is worth more or less than literal randomness.

Why this page exists

Hosting isn't free. The site runs on a few dollars a month of cloud infrastructure (Railway + a domain + email) and I'd love to keep it that way without it being a recurring tax on me personally.

That's it. No "trading signals," no Discord scams, no early-access vote-rigging -supporters get the same one vote per day everyone gets. You're not buying influence over the picks. You're buying the satisfaction of helping the dumbest possible finance experiment stay online.
