Previously on a Pair of Witches...
Lillith stared into Sonya’s eyes. She wasn’t searching; she had her answers.
“I have magic,” Lillith said.
“I knew it!” Sonya whooped. “When do we start?”
And now on A Pair of Witches …
Lillith shook her head in disbelief at herself; she was really doing this? Now? She forced herself to start nodding her head instead. “Let’s … do … it … now?”
Sonya’s smile dropped. “Wanna try that again with more enthusiasm or something? What’s the haps here?”
Lillith threw herself onto the couch with a sigh. “You’re right, I’m sorry, it’s just I…”
Sonya sat down next to her, draping an arm around Lil’s shoulders. “You don’t have to tell me everything, and you really don’t have to tell me now.” Sonya sighed and leaned into Lillith. “Hell, I don’t think I even want you to tell me now.”
Lillith nodded. “Thanks, Sonya. I accept your selfishness at this time.”
“Oi!” Sonya grabbed a cushion and shoved it playfully into Lillith’s chest. Lillith deflected the cushion, laughing.
“Alright, alright,” Lillith said. “I think I am ready now.”
“Excellent,” Sonya said with a satisfied nod. “How are we starting this?”
“That’s a good question. It’s been almost twenty years since I did magic, since I wielded my power, I mean.”
“Wow, alright,” Sonya said. “I mean, I do magic—allegedly—every other weekend but I don’t think we’re talking about the same kind of stuff.”
“How did you know I could do anything, then? How did you know I had magic?”
Sonya scrunched her face in thought. “Call it a spidey sense. It’s nothing I’ve been able to put my finger on, but over the years, there’s been a tingling around you. Yea, a kind of tingling.”
Lillith's gaze slid off into the middle distance. “I wonder if anyone else around here can feel it?”
“I think they can. The difference is they’re scared by it.” Sonya twisted on the couch to give Lillith a significant look. “But, you still haven’t said how we’re starting?”
