A "collaboration" between We Are Survivors, and Movember 🤢
Not off to a great start working with such a perverse organisation, sat on 10's of millions and the little money it does spend, goes to fueling man hating propaganda, like white ribbon.
So documenting it here for posterity.
Welcome to our Survey...
We Are Survivors have teamed up with Movember to undertake a brand new research project, focusing on understanding social attitudes that can affect male victims/survivors of sexual harms.
This survey is open to all UK adults (18+), regardless of sex, gender, ethnicity, religion, class, etc… we want to hear from as many men, women, trans, non-binary people from as many different communities as possible!
We want to better understand how societal attitudes could impact men affected by sexual harms in their ability to speak out, to access support and maybe feel forced into silence.
For the record, when we say sexual harms, we mean any sexual activity that was unwanted that happened at any point in the individual’s life.
All of your answers will remain anonymous, there is no way of us knowing who you are so please feel confident in that and be as honest with your answers as you can be. No shame here!
However, we do want to get a sense of the ‘types’ of people who are answering so Section 1 will ask you a few demographical questions, but again, NOTHING that will identify you to us or anyone.
Section 2 will cover the theme of ‘Prevalence’ and we invite you to tell us if you or someone you know is a male victim/survivor of sexual harms. We’re not going into detail here so please don’t worry.
We know that this section might feel uncomfortable and maybe potentially triggering. So, we’ve put reminders in of the places you have to reach out for support such as the National 24/7 Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Line on 0808 500 2222. But we also recognise this is a survey for adults and we shouldn’t shy away from asking uncomfortable questions nor should we wrap people up in cotton wool and take away their own agency to speak.
Section 3 follows the theme of ‘Attitudes’ and asks you to share your thoughts on current affairs and wider society’s position on men and boys as victims/survivors of sexual harms.
Section 4 is the final section and themed around ‘Societal Understanding’, in which we are interested to hear how familiar you are with past and/or current Government / official action to tackle sexual violence.
All the data we collect from this survey will be held by We Are Survivors (known as Data Controller) and used to create a report, make posts and create campaigns on current prevalence, attitudes, and understandings of, male sexual harms. We will do this with Movember and others.
Taking part in this survey is 100% voluntary and you can stop at any time, remember, its completely anonymous.

First problem, it links to Rape Crisis, for men, which doesent actually help men.
It treats them as perpatrators and its been very open about these being the standards set.
Second, the questions do not reflect the claims they make about each section. Lets go over them
Section one, is pretty much about identifying who you are.
Your local council, age, gender including trans, sexuality, ethnicity, religion, disability. No issue as this is pretty standard.
Section two, again this points you to the org rape crisis which again, as of typing this I remind you, treats any men calling as perpatrators.
Starting off with question 10, not bad, at least it asks, but frankly this is ass backwards again. As I have pointed out, and has been observed over and over, when a male is victim his experiences are gaslit, minimised. Asking "are you a victim" usually responds with no. Ask them if they have been subjected to a specific description of behaviours? Most times they say yes.
Gets progressivly worse from 11 onwards.
11 is annoying because its one or the other.
IT SHOULDNT BE THE ONE YOU THOUGHT OF FIRST.
If we want the true prevelence of a mans experiences starting with childhood, they should be able to tick all that apply. Because there are 4 there I could easily tick. Not giving you the option in question 13 to say "oh by the way, were there others instances, we dont actually want details".
"Have you ever told anyone what happened"
Funny this becomes a multiple choice. And again the choice is terrible!
"Family" not parent? aunt?
"School" not teacher that you trusted?
Remember what I said that you have to be descriptive for men. Honestly its getting exhausting how little these orgs claiming to represent men, understand this very basic priciple. But as I said and you will see as it goes on, theres ultierior motives.
And after this section it AGAIN TELLS YOU TO CONTACT RAPE CRISIS, an org that will treat you like a perpatrator.
Then it flips onto just a vague other question: do you know others?
Well yeah, I setup this account to show the prevelence of male hate triggered by very vocal, hateful women who yelled down an tutor teaching about child protection. For saying women can harm, and boys are victims. So naturally spoken to near 100 and frankly as a collective done more to help than these charities ever will.
If you click YES, it takes you to the same list of questions but heres a kicker, IT BECOMES MULTIPLE CHOICE! How come I am allowed to pick multiple for a stranger but not for myself?
After this it then moves on to "attitudes" which so far feels a little redundent.
This is also where you start to see the survey fall apart with the typical feminist stuff.
And this is annoying, despite the fact I deal with this stuff daily? guess what, I dont remember names. This is another key point I have noticed on male victims. They dont idolise, or base their personality on the experiences of another. We know it happened, we have empathy, but seeing names in the news come and go. But if we add the fact that most mens names dont make the news cycle, or at best, get a few breif mentions then forgotton?
Where womens names are pushed, constantly, for months, even years.
This question, 24, is dangerously problematic. "How many victims do you believe were gay"
It never asks any comparable questions on the sexuality of the victim beyond this.
It also never mentions sexism in law, because, you know, this is what they always do.
25 and 26 are about the only questions that could argue have honest intent.
NOW WE GO FULL BLOWN FEMINIST.
This is where it tries to paint male victims as problematic, so everything you have just said is now about womens welfare. Notice how it doesnt ask if there is a male strategy, educate you in any way.
This last one I shared on twitter because I have seen variations of this pushed in every survey around men. Whether it was misogny or rape culture blah blah. Its about trying to get you to admit you think rape is OK so they can say "men are evil".
THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE ABOUT MENS EXPERIENCES.
Yet the scope of information they actually wanted filled 1 page.
The way it keeps framing men only victims of rape as being gay. IS A HUGE FUCKING PROBLEM.
Being bisexual had no influence on the decisions made by the people who abused me, they didnt know. Hell I didnt really acknowledge it till I turned 30.
I suspect a lot of dodgy indeviduals will skip to this part and put strongly agree in all the boxes.
And last but not least, the issue they ignored this whole fucking survey, female preditation.
Oh look a little text box at the end for thoughts.
Not after questions where it might have been useful for a more expansive understanding.
I am currently in talks with a few of the community looking to do a better survey.
We will need better questions, more descriptive, more spaces for comment.
