About Mark C.
Creating real conversations around midlife & The Salary Danger Zone
So... why is this page here?
Two reasons.
First, people keep asking me some version of: "Mark, you give away a LOT. How do you actually make money?"
Fair question. I share a ton for free: the content, the guides, the handbook, the DMs, the calls. I do it on purpose. I've been the guy stuck in quiet dread with a good paycheck, and I'd rather leave the door open than lock the good stuff behind a paywall.
Second, some of you have told me something I said, sent, or wrote actually helped. A post that landed on the right morning, a call that got you unstuck, a DM exchange at 11pm. And you wanted a way to say thanks.
This is that way.
Each "coffee" is $5. It's a friendly metaphor, though I will probably spend it on actual coffee. No pressure, no strings, no secret upsell. If the free stuff is all you ever need from me, that's a win in my book.
But if you want to fuel the work so I can keep showing up for the next guy who needs it, I'm grateful. Truly.
A little about me
Ten years ago, at age 39, I stepped off the corporate ladder, renovated my own definition of success, and I've spent the last decade walking alongside men doing the same. I don't guide from a distance. I guide from experience.
Along the way, these conversations turned up something bigger than midlife: The Salary Danger Zone™. That's where the paycheck is good enough to keep you stuck and the role is expensive enough to make you a target. It touches younger guys, older guys, and plenty of people who aren't midlife dudes at all.
I've written two books. Project 14.4 is about how 1% of your day, 14 minutes and 24 seconds, is enough to beat procrastination and build real momentum. Good Afternoon turned out to run on the same principle, applied to the afternoon of life.
I live in De Pere, Wisconsin with my wife Jennifer (23 years and counting), our two young adult sons, and Rocky, an eight-year-old Wheaten Terrier who has never once had a midlife crisis and is all the better for it.
Always grateful. Never settling.
YOUR best is yet to come...
