Hi, I'm Mick — an independent music writer from the North West of England. I've been writing reviews about music in one form or another since I was 17, covering rock, metal, blues and everything in between: album reviews, gig reports, and interviews with the bands and artists making the music I love.

This blog has always been a passion project rather than a job — no ads-driven clickbait, no algorithm-chasing, just honest writing about music I genuinely care about. I've travelled abroad for gigs and festivals, dug into the stories behind the records, and spent a lot of late nights trying to put into words why a song hits the way it does.
