Drawing really is a great hobby of mine that I love dearly, but I suffer greatly from the dreaded imposter syndrome! Everyone seems to be so proficient, that my drawings just don’t stand a chance. You’re told to find a niche, but the art world is a saturated place. So sometimes motivation plummets and drawing ends up taking a backseat. This is the third time I’ve tried seriously with art, but this time feels different. I’m just trying to find my feet, and most importantly, enjoy the journey.
Some may argue about the definition of who is an artist and who isn’t. I don’t (yet) consider myself at the point where I comfortably label myself as one, and I feel I’ve still got a long way to go…
In the meantime, I shall continue drawing. At the moment I’m going through a cat phase.
