Hey, ich bin Melle – Technik-Nerd und dafür verantwortlich, dass bei uns zu Hause die Rollläden nach Sonnenstand fahren, die Heizung vorausschauend plant und die Stundenpläne der Kinder auf dem Tablet stehen.

Daraus sind dreizehn offene Projekte geworden: Add-ons für Home Assistant, die das erledigen, wofür es sonst ein Dutzend Automationen bräuchte – mit einer Oberfläche statt YAML. Dazu Brickfolio, eine selbstgehostete App für LEGO-Sammlungen. Alles unter MIT-Lizenz, alles auf melle79.dev.

Gebaut wird neben dem Beruf, getestet an echter Hardware – und die kostet. Ein Kaffee hilft beim nächsten Gerät, das ich sonst nicht anbinden könnte.

Hey, I'm Melle – a tech nerd, and the reason the shutters in our house follow the sun, the heating plans ahead, and the kids' timetables live on a tablet.

That turned into thirteen open projects: Home Assistant add-ons that do what would otherwise take a dozen automations – with an interface instead of YAML. Plus Brickfolio, a self-hosted app for LEGO collections. All MIT-licensed, all at melle79.dev.

Built beside a full-time job and tested on real hardware – which costs money. A coffee goes towards the next device I could not otherwise support.
