I'm Mel & I'm a freelance ocean writer. I'm published by titles including Nat Geo, BBC Wildlife, New Scientist and more. I often have people getting in touch for career advice (which feels very odd - what do I know?!) and I've noticed the same questions come up again and again. So, I've decided to record my answers to the most frequently asked questions to (hopefully) help people in their writing journey.

The conservation sector can sometimes be harder to break into if you don't come from a privileged background & I want my tips and advice to be accessible to everyone.
