Hi there. I’m Melanie Albright, a writer, artist and pet sitter living in Southwest London.
My writing examines the human experience through an existential lens. Self-destructive behaviour, crises of identity, complicated relationships, loss, loneliness and altered realities often feature in my writing to aid explorations of love, meaning, responsibility and freedom.
I recently celebrated an exciting milestone: my first fiction publication by way of my flash fiction story, Spilt Milk, appearing in Audience Askew's Spring 2024 issue. In fact, 2024 was a great year for writerly wins; you can read more about that here.
