Behind Schedule

Behind Schedule

Jul 23, 2024

In two months we were going to buy ourselves a newer BIGGER RV. But since the start of summer, we've done nothing but use our savings to help others (some with regrets but it is what it is). We felt like a poster board for those who were in very much need of help and we pulled through and did more than our parts. Proverbs 11:25: “Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.”

Since we are not able to purchase an RV this winter as we had scheduled to do, we are going to try to stick out another 3 years (if not sooner) in our current RV. We will be donating this RV to the Ogden Homeless Shelter once we move into the bigger new RV. So we are updating and fixing as much as we can on this RV while living in it. It's cute and cozy and it's mostly just cosmetic upgrades. This RV is NOT or will not be SOLD. This will be a gift to the homeless shelter (this is for those that keep telling us to sell this).

We are still working at the Willard Peak Campground and hope to for the next 3 years (hence not buying an RV until then).

We go into the financial shut down Jan 1st 2025, so meantime, we've been working on entertainment for the home, so that we are able to keep occupied and busy so that we can double our savings. We have such great local friends here who have been gifting us games, their time, invitations to dinners, anything to help support us.

Life is not hard, not in the sense of having to ask for money. This is just for business tips, side jobs and for helping us recoup donation money that we have will continue to always use to help. This is the most we ever donated in one year helping. For a brief moment it did cause marriage friction and both taking to our knees and praying about it, we know we did right and we know that we were led in that direction. There were some amazing folks who've helped us along the way, so we know to be grateful.

We've been posting pictures on our Instagram progress - We bought this OLD and Cheap from a past client of ours, so it's been a blessing seeing the changes we've been able to do. We've always wanted it to look like a home. Our goal was to learn the Do's and Don'ts and apparently we have more to learn still and we are happy to take that on.

Thank you for reading our update (we honestly forgot we had this page). We are more than ok! We just had to take a step back and admit we are behind schedule. If we were to buy now, we are afraid of losing our job and we'd be flat on our backs, but if we continue to save then we are protected to still buy and protect ourselves. Why rush too, we have 3 years.... Love to you all and hope you are doing ok!!
