I am Marilyn or Maz as I like to be called! I have been passionate about helping those who are coping with bereavement since 2009, especially bereaved parents. After I myself lost my 17 year old son to brain cancer! Following the devastating loss of my own son, I embarked on a personal voyage of healing and self-discovery. Along this transformative path, I delved into diverse courses on bereavement, mindfulness, and mentoring, ceaselessly seeking a deeper understanding of the intricate emotions entwined with grief.

However, what truly distinguishes me is that I have treaded the same arduous journey as you. I have known the pangs of losing a child intimately, and I continue to navigate that path each passing day. I have encountered the confusion, anger, sorrow, and heartache that can engulf us in the aftermath of losing someone we hold so dearly. I have confronted the challenges of finding meaning and purpose in life once more, and I have grappled with the tumultuous ride of emotions that grief can bring.

I empathise with the feeling of being adrift and overwhelmed, and I extend my hand and heart to you as you navigate this challenging expedition. I am not solely an individual who has gleaned wisdom from textbooks or training courses, but someone who has gleaned insight from personal experience. I am here to lend an ear, to understand, and to share the tools and techniques that have aided me on my own journey of healing.

As a mentor in bereavement and mindfulness, I am dedicated to providing you with a secure and empathetic space to delve into your emotions, fears, and aspirations. Together, we will work on cultivating resilience, fostering healthy coping mechanisms, and discovering ways to pay tribute to the memory of your precious child while also progressing towards your own well-being. Remember, you are not alone on this expedition, for I am here to walk alongside you, offering unwavering support, comprehension, and boundless compassion every step of the way.
