Hi, I'm Maz
My name is Maz Nash (they/them), and I am a small batch ceramic artist based on the outskirts of Bristol UK.
I create thoughtfully crafted ceramics for those who appreciate the beauty of handmade, one-of-a-kind art. Each piece is made slowly and intentionally, either on the pottery wheel or through hand-building techniques, before being painted by hand with intricate, illustrative designs. My pottery serves as a canvas for my unique style, bringing together thoughtful craftsmanship and creative storytelling.
Why Donate?
As an independent artist, every contribution helps me invest in the things that truly matter for my business - like materials, tools, and sustainable packaging. While the name says "coffee," your support won't fund my caffeine habit. It’ll go straight into growing my creative practice and bringing more handmade, one-of-a-kind ceramics to life. Your generosity means the world and helps keep my art thriving!
My Story
I have always found solace in creativity. As someone diagnosed later in life with ADHD and autism, drawing has been my way of connecting with the world and with myself. It was my constant growing up, whether I was sketching in bustling spaces or quietly illustrating on long journeys.
When I first encountered clay during my art foundation course, I discovered a medium that brought both challenge and peace. Working with ceramics allowed me to combine my love of tactile processes with the storytelling quality of illustration, and I knew I had found my calling. My ceramics are now my canvas, allowing me to bring my illustrative, whimsical designs to life in a tangible, lasting form.
Today, my ceramics serve as both canvas and craft. My work often includes characters and motifs inspired by my experience as a trans non-binary artist. These pieces reflect the stories of the genderqueer community - voices and identities that are too often unseen. My hope is that those who connect with my work see themselves reflected in it and feel a sense of belonging.
