About May I Have Your Attention
Hi! I’m an editorial and portrait photographer based in Phoenix, Arizona. Originally from Germany, I spent three years in the UK before making Arizona my home in 2008. A major life shift in 2017 prompted me to turn my focus inward, prioritizing my mental health. My ADHD diagnosis in 2021 sparked a journey that ultimately led to my certification as an ADHD coach.
My photography project May I Have Your Attention merges my experiences in photography and ADHD coaching in a way that goes beyond a simple photoshoot. Through colorful, in-camera multiple exposures, I capture vibrant, dynamic portraits of adults with ADHD. This project holds deep personal significance, as it reveals the unique intricacies of neurodivergent minds, celebrating both the challenges and the strengths. Through this work, I hope to connect with and inspire a wider audience, fostering understanding and appreciation for our diverse minds.
May I Have Your Attention is a deeply personal project that I am fully self-funding. From equipment to travel and production costs, I cover all expenses because I am truly passionate about helping those affected by ADHD as well as raising awareness and understanding around the topic.
If you you would like to support me, I could use help in the following areas: financial contributions to cover expenses such as travel, equipment, printing etc; connections to exhibit venues; opportunities to be a guest on podcasts focused on ADHD, mental health, or creative processes; invitations to speak at events centered on ADHD or mental health advocacy; as well as PR support to get the word out about my project.
If you have ADHD and would like to be a part of the project, and/or are interested in collaborating, please reach out.
Thank you, Claudia Johnstone
