Disabled advocate, Board member and Influencer
Hi, I’m Maxwell.
I’m a 21-year-old disability advocate, First-Class Business Management graduate, trustee for Caudwell Children, volunteer with SMA UK, and content creator dedicated to making disability more visible and better understood.
I live with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), a condition I was diagnosed with at the age of two. Growing up, I faced countless barriers—from inaccessible buildings to funding essential equipment—but I was fortunate to have a family who never let disability define what I could achieve. Their belief in me shaped the person I am today.
Since then, I’ve spoken at charity events, raised over £50,000 for SMA UK by climbing Mount Snowdon, worked on innovation at Motability Operations, and built an online community reaching over a million views each month. I’ve also had the privilege of becoming a trustee for Caudwell Children—the same charity that once supported me—allowing me to give back through lived experience.
Outside of my full-time work, I create content, speak at events, mentor, and advocate for a more accessible and inclusive society. Everything I share is driven by one goal: showing what’s possible when barriers are removed and disabled people are given the opportunity to thrive.
If you’d like to support my work, buying me a coffee helps cover the time, equipment, travel, and costs that go into creating content and continuing my advocacy outside of work. There’s never any expectation—sharing my content and being part of the community is already a huge support.
Thank you for being here.
