With any discipline when it comes to Music Production, practice makes perfect! But if you don't have a lot of Mastering experience and want to get that much needed practice, how can you get hold of songs to practice on?
There is one resource that i've been Championing for a while now which is the Cambridge Music Technology website run by the fantastic Mike Senior.
This website includes links to download a massive catalogue of songs for you to practice your Mixing and Mastering on. There are numerous Genres included from Jazz, Dance, Singer/Songwriter, Blues, Rock, Punk, Metal, Hip Hop, R&B and more.
The Cambridge Music Technology website is my number one recommendation for those who want to get access to high quality audio tracks to hone their skills on.
I do need to point out that you aren't allowed to use any songs downloaded from the website for use in your own music portfolio, without express permission from the artists, so bare this in mind.
