Hello everyone! My name is Olek Martin (Oleksandr Martyniuk).

I’m a Ukrainian journalist and editor now living and building in Dublin, Ireland. For many years my work in media, community projects, and civic initiatives focused on one idea: information that helps people navigate the world better. Today I’m trying to translate that idea into technology.

🌍 What is Lucky Earth I’m the founder of Lucky Earth - a community-powered travel platform where people can discover cities, share local insights, participate in events, and help each other travel smarter. The app combines community signals, exploration, local knowledge, and gamified discovery to make travel more aware, meaningful, and connected. Safety signals are part of it - but the bigger idea is a global community map of shared knowledge about places and experiences. 🚀 Lucky Earth is an independent bootstrapped project that I’m building step by step. I’m integrating modern technologies, including artificial intelligence, while keeping the most important element at the center - the community of users who share information with each other.
