Together with the Life Science Centre and researchers at Manchester Metropolitan University, we set up the project "Build-A-Bear 2:0" where we showcased how engineers contribute towards to sustainability via creating new 3D printed materials from recycled coffee cups.
Activities took place in both Newcastle and Manchester and 10 volunteers (early career researchers) received public engagement training and how to showcase the results of the project to school aged children.
