Through my teaching, writing and light social media use (primarily LinkedIn), I focus on what I call frugal urbanism and sharing resources related to international affairs, policy and urban and rural futures. I publish interviews as well as recommendations and other musings via the newsletter TIRPAKISTAN (LinkedIn and Substack).

My interests include futures studies and strategic foresight practices, material reuse and the secondhand economy, low-barrier business (including mobile vending and cottage industries), shifts in employment and the domestic sphere, swimmable cities, unconventional housing approaches and defining prosperity (and the American Dream) in the 21st century.
