About Dr Maria Violaris
making content about quantum science and tech
Hi, I'm Maria! I'm a quantum physicist and science communicator. I make content about quantum science and tech!
Current projects:
- (1) Post videos about fundamental quantum science and quantum computing on my YouTube channel, "Dr Maria Violaris"
- (2) Run and host the "Quantum Foundations Podcast"
- (3) Writing a popular science book to demystify quantum science and tech
Background:
I recently finished my PhD in quantum foundations at the University of Oxford, and now work on quantum computing research and content at spin-out OQC. Alongside my PhD, I worked part-time at IBM Quantum (making the Quantum Paradoxes video series!). I've published research on quantum education, in addition to my work on the foundations of quantum information.
